WHAT IS AN EZ-ON WETSUITS
The Wetwear EZ-ON WETSUIT is our most popular wetsuit and the easiest wetsuit to put on and take off available to today. The EZ-ON WETSUIT features zippers in the arms from the wrist to the bicep and in the legs from the ankle to the thigh.
The zippers are backed off with a panel made of polyurethane coated Lycra. Water and wind cannot penetrate this fabric. No need to be concerned about water intrusion through the zippers. When the zippers are open, the fabric allows arms and legs to expand becoming much larger. This allows you to enter the arms and legs easily without a struggle. When the zippers are closed your wetsuit the arms and legs will fit perfectly.
Getting into the EZ-ON wetsuit is as easy as put on a shirt and pants.
Even better, before and after your water activity just open the zippers to expand the arms and legs. This will allow air to flow into the wetsuit cooling you during those hot summer days or tropical adventure trips.

SHORT SLEEVE SHORTY

The Wetwear Short Sleeve Shorty can be made in several configurations to meet the needs of your water sport. If you participate in above water sports such as surfing, personal watercraft or water skiing you should have a rubber front in the torso. The rubber front will deflect the water and wind keeping you warmer.
If your water sport is kite surfing or windsurfing you should have a rubber back in the torso for the same reason. A Short Sleeve Shorty for most all other water sports such as swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving can be made of nylon two side material (neoprene with nylon cloth laminated to both sides).
When worn over a Jumpsuit, the Short Sleeve Shorty offers substantially more warmth. This combination allows the diver to dive both warm water and cold water. The Jumpsuit/Short Sleeve Shorty combination is the most versatile and practical wetsuit in the Wetwear product line.

FARMER JOHN/JANE
WATER SPORT ACTIVITY
The Farmer John/Jane covers the torso and legs. The top resembles bib overalls worn by farmers (hence the name) and leaves the arms, shoulders and lower neck area exposed. The Farmer John/Jane, when worn alone, is perfect for water activities where the lower body and legs are in or exposed water but the upper body needs freedom of movement. A Long Sleeve Shorty or Beaver Tail Jacket can be worn over the Farmer John/Jane for full body protection and additional warmth. SHORT (FARMER) JOHN/JANE

The Short John is primarily used for above water sports or over a Jumpsuit for additional warmth when diving. This suit worn alone offers minimal thermal protection but maximum mobility. One or both shoulder tabs will have Velcro® fasteners for donning and doffing the suit. Front and back zipper versions are also available.
The Short John may be purchased with an attached hood when wearing it over a Jumpsuit for cold water diving.

Jumpsuit and Short Sleeve Shorty or Short John
Wetsuits, worn in combination offer more versatility for various. The Jumpsuit worn alone provides the diver with full body protection and sufficient insulation to dive warmer water. When worn with a short sleeve shorty or short john over the jumpsuit, the diver can now dive much colder water. Wetwear suggest a hood to be worn when diving in colder water. The short sleeve shorty and short john can also be worn alone for above water activities such as snorkeling, surfing, kite surfing, water skiing, personal watercraft, swimming, etc.

Long Sleeve Shorty and Farmer John/Jane
This wetsuit combination is primarily used by commercial and military divers. A commercial diver can use this suit in combination when working on scuba for numerous work situations at depth in cold water. When working in shallow water on decks, docks, seawalls, fisheries, boat maintenance etc., the farmer john/jane can be worn alone. In these situations, the farmer john/jane will provide warmth for the legs and lower body and allow freedom of movement for the arms and upper body without overheating the user.

Beaver Tail Jacket and High Waist Pants

The Beaver Tail Jacket and High Waist Pants are normally worn in combination creating a 2 piece full suit. A flap in the rear (the beaver tail) passes forward between the legs and attaches to the inside bottom front of the jacket. Two twist locks and grommets, one on either side of the zipper, were once common fasteners. They have been largely replaced by Velcro® fasteners. Wetwear still offers twist locks and grommets for Vintage wetsuit divers. This combination is primarily used by military divers, commercial divers in Central and South America and at some resorts for rental wetsuits. The advantage of the Beaver Tail Jacket and High Waist Pants is it can be mixed and matched top and bottom for a better fit when the suit is used by more than one diver. This wetsuit combination is also perfect for handicapped divers when adding the EZ-ON Expansion Zipper feature to the arms and legs.

Hooded Vest

The Hooded vest is worn for additional warmth with a jumpsuit, a farmer john/jane and shorty or Jacket and pants. Wetwear recommends the hooded vest to be worn over the primary wetsuit. The hooded vest can also be worn under a primary wetsuit but there are several considerations before doing so. First, the primary wetsuit must fit over the hooded vest comfortably so as not to restrict breathing. Second, the primary wetsuit should have a front entry zipper. A wetsuit with a back entry zipper has a high collar which fits snug to the neck. Wearing a hooded vest under a back entry wetsuit may cause blood flow restriction. Hoods

WHY WE ONLY MAKE CUSTOM HOODS
Hoods are the most difficult wetsuit item to comfortably.fit to an individual. There are many factors in fitting hoods. Do you have a long neck, short neck or no neck? Is your neck skinny, normal or thick? Do you have a normal chin, long chin or short chin? Do you have a long face, round face, rectangular face, oblong face, triangular face or square face? All these factors and more play into the fit of a hood.
A hood also needs to stretch more in the girth than in the length. Most all hoods available in stores or online are made with the stretch in the length of the hood. Since the girth of your head is greater than the girth of your neck, a hood made with the stretch in the length will be very difficult to got on. As you begin to pull the hood over your head, the opening becomes smaller. Once you have the hood on, you may notice an uncomfortable head and neck squeeze. We call this the Chinese finger lock effect.
All Wetwear hoods are cut with the stretch in the girth allowing ease of donning and a comfortable fit.
Wetwear also offer a hood zipper option. This zipper option is installed in the back of the hood and includes an expansion panel. The hood zipper makes donning and doffing of your hood simple and quick. This feature also allows for a closer fit to your neck.
Short Neck Hood
The short neck hood was designed wear with back entry wetsuits. Wetsuits with the entry zipper in the back have a collar which is sized to the fit snug to the neck similar to the fit of a men’s dress shirts. Many back entry wetsuits have a neck seal to prevent water from entering the wetsuit. The short neck hood fits over the collar of a back entry wetsuit so it does not to disrupt the fit of the collar

Bib/Skirted Hood
The Bib/Skirted Hood works best with front zipper wetsuits. The bib/skirt should be worn on the inside of the collar on a front entry wetsuits.
The Bib/Skirted Hood also works well with a jumpsuit and short sleeve shorty worn in combination. First don the jumpsuit. Then don the bib/skirted hood and then the short sleeve shorty. The bib/skirted hood if now sandwiched between the jumpsuit and the SS Shorty

Spine Pad
A Spine Pad will stop cold water from rolling down your back. The purpose of a Spine Pad is to fill the gap between your wetsuit and the spinal channel in the center of the back. The Spine Pad consists of a 7mm inner pad and a 3mm cover. It is sewn into the primary wetsuit such as a jumpsuit or farmer john/jane.

Butt Pad
The purpose of a Butt Pad is to protect your wetsuit from wear on your bottom. This pad s primarily used by commercial divers to extend the life of their wetsuits. A simple action of sitting on a seawall or the gunnels of a boat will eventually wear off the fabric covering on a wetsuit.

Lycra® Expanding Pocket
The Lycra® Expanding is made of 3 mm neoprene with a Lycra® fabric
self-draining expansion panel in the center of the pocket. The pocket flap closes securely with Velcro®. The flap also has a grommet for adding a lanyard. When the pocket is empty it is flat to your wetsuit. When adding a light or camera etc. to the pocket, the Lycra® panel expands. Even when the pocket is expanded, the flap is securely closed. Choose installation of this pocket to the front or side of your wetsuit at the thigh.

Knife Pocket
The Wetwear Knife Pocket is made custom to your knife of choice. Just send us the brand and model of your knife along with an outline of the knife in the sheath. Our Knife Pocket is sewn to a piece of 3 mm neoprene which is then sewn to your wetsuit using the blind stitch method. This prevents damage to your wetsuit when removing and inserting your knife The Knife Pocket can be placed on the outside of your thigh or on the inside of your calf to ankle.

SOFT WEIGHT BELTS
